Personality:

✽ What is your character's main motivation? What drives them and keeps them going? For a long time, Dion’s motivation was to make his father proud. To Dion, his father was an honorable man (whether or not he is is seriously up for debate given the nature of his country), and thus there could be no greater feat than to revel in his pride. After he realizes the depth of his father’s cruelty, however, his goal shifted to bringing the man back to his senses. Again, it’s up for debate as to whether or not Sylvestre was ever a good man, or if Dion simply took off his rose colored glasses. Regardless, after accidentally murdering his father and destroying his current home of Twinside, his goal became repentance and atonement for his sins.

Unfortunately, given that he has now died for these sins, it’s hard to say what his new motivation will be. He’s already alluded to in TDMs, he may see his continued deaths to be further repentance. After all, many people died by his hands.
✽ What is their biggest regret? Why? HAHAHAHAHA. Losing control and priming into Bahamut, and then consequently destroying his home and thousands of lives is definitely his biggest regret. As an honorable man, and one who strove to protect his people at all costs, the fact that he was the one to lay waste to them is extremely devastating.
✽ What is their worst fear? Their greatest comfort? His two biggest fears have already been realized: his people turning against him, and also losing his father’s approval.
For the longest time his greatest comfort was very similar — the adoration of his people and the approval of his father. So long as he acted in a way that upheld these, he could keep going. One could also say Terence, his lover, was a major comfort too, but that’s now complicated. All of it is complicated. Dude is suffering.
✽ Top three strengths? - Eikonic Control: Dion is one of the only Dominants that we see able to maintain full (or any) control over his Eikon after it’s been stripped away by Clive. He is so masterful of his abilities that he’s able to fight the strongest known Dominant in existence, Odin, to a stalemate at only the age of 23.
- Statesmanship: Dion studied to learn the art of statecraft, so that he might bring honor to his people, and especially to his father. He is able to effectively negotiate with and navigate the theocracy that makes up the empire’s governing body.
- Sense of Justice: Dion believes in doing what is right for his people. Though this puts him at odds with his father at times, he believes in doing what is best for his people, and rails against those that would cast them off.
✽ Top three weaknesses? - Emotional Vulnerability: Boy doesn’t talk about his problems like ever. When Harpocrates attempted to give him a wild Wyvern Tail, he swiftly refused as he felt he wasn’t deserving
- Accepting Help: Rather than be treated, he ran off and had to be rescued by a child. He confronted Sylvestre alone, rather than having anyone by his side, and sent his closest ally away (albeit to help someone Dion felt he owed a debt to)
- Manipulation: Dion is incredibly susceptible to being cowed into doing what others want for him. His father is able to quell any arguments simply by presenting him with a flower, one that produces the same poison that keeps other magic users in check. Furthermore, he plays right into Ultima’s hands due to the manipulation of Olivier and the seeming warping of his father’s mind. It could also be argued that his father himself manipulated Dion into seeing something he was not. Though Dion believes his father to be honorable, under him bearers are branded, sentenced to slavery, and abused day in and day out.
✽ What was their last lie? “Perhaps I might make him proud of me yet.”

- Three healing poultices. Not fast acting by any stretch.

Abilities: - Light magic, specifically the spells Dia (small) and Diara
- Flare Breath: Light-aspected flame coming from his mouth. Brother eat a mint.
- Impulse: Creates light-aspected charges that swarm a target and can be deonated
- Satellite: Creates two balls of light that function as adds, firing LASERS!
- Megaflare: Straightline burst of light. The strength of it depends on how long he charges for. Charging long enough leads to:
- Gigaflare: "Ultimate" Skill. He summons a massive column of overcharged light that burns enemies he touches with it. It moves slowly and is difficult to aim.
- Eikon summoning: Takes two forms. Semi-prime, in which he merely embodies traits of Bahamut (presumably wings, tail, and maybe some scales because I’m a bitch that’s extra), and full prime, in which he becomes the Eikon Bahamut in entirety. Clearly the mods will allow this because it is not at all gamebreaking.
